Flower Farmer-Florist, what is that all about?

Updated: Jan 30

Hello! My name is Emily and I own Beauty Grows Wild. I wanted to write a post sharing a little more about myself, my family and what we do.

My husband and I live in Southern Oregon. We started our life together as high school sweethearts and are now living life in the country, raising our three wild and beautiful daughters. We grow a ton of gorgeous flowers organically! I arrange flowers for weddings, events, bouquet subscriptions, special order bouquets and to fill up our weekly flower stand in the summer time.

Flowers are such a great way to connect people. When you go out into the world in search of flowers to purchase, there are many options available to you. Did you know that 82% of cut flowers sold in the United States are imported?

Being a flower farmer - florist means that the flowers I use in my arrangements have been grown by me. I grow an abundance of flowers, care for them organically from start to finish.

What does all of this mean for those of you that are planning a wedding? It means that you have an incredible variety of flowers to choose from for your wedding flowers, not just the traditional ones. Colors and textures that will surprise and delight you. Flowers that you may have never seen or heard of. The possibilities will blow your mind!

Often I choose flower varieties and colors specifically for events in the upcoming season. If you tell me your wedding is next summer and your absolute favorite flowers on the planet are sweet peas, you will see sweet peas in your wedding flowers. I will have chosen specific seeds that match your wedding colors, soaked them overnight, started them in my greenhouse, transplanted them to a growing space outdoors, watered them daily, tied them up to the trellis weekly and harvested them myself to place them in your wedding arrangements.

Beauty Grows Wild is different. We grow our flower locally and organically. We plant with our events in mind. We love what we do and we love sharing it with you!
